I don't have a smartphone, can I still go?
You will need a device that can read QR codes and has mobile internet access to complete the task. Don't start without one. (Borrow one if you can.)
I usually use WiFi on my phone, will this work?
It won't work because there is no WIFI at the checkpoints. You need mobile internet, which you can request from your service provider. Any package is fine because you will only be downloading and uploading a few 100Kb.
Is there signal strength in the forest?
We tested with all three providers and there was signal strength at the given points. Once it happened that we had to restart the phone because although there was signal strength, the internet connection did not work. Restarting solved the problem. If there is still no signal strength, do not despair. Read the code, move on and try to open it 300 meters away.
